• On 6th & 7th January 2017, Principal participated as a Resource Person in an “International Inter Disciplinary Seminar on Globalization and Human Rights” organized by the Kerala University and delivered a key note address on “Impact of Globalization and Good Governance” and also chaired a session.
  • On 6th & 7th January 2017, our faculty member, Smt. Sumithra. R. attended two days National Conference on “Right to Food: Constitutional Perspectives” organized by the Christ University and presented a paper on “Right to Food Security and Safety in India”.

  • On 21st & 22nd December 2016, Asst. Prof. Nirmala Hegde participated in a workshop conducted by National Human Rights Commission on the topic “Good Governance, Development and Human Rights” at Vikasa Soudha, Bengaluru.
  • On 6th and 7th of January  2017, Asst. Professor Sumithra Attended the National Conference 2017, conducted by Christ University, School of Law on ‘Right to Food: Constitutional Perspectives’ and presented two papers titled ‘Food Safety and Security in India’ and ‘ Food Security and Farmer’s Rights’.

    On 17th & 18th February 2017, the K.S.L.U. sponsored Inter Collegiate Youth Festival was organized in our college. Mr. Amarnath Gowda, Attorney, USA was the Chief Guest and Prof. Chidananda Reddy Patil, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor (Actg.) of Karnataka State Law University was the Guest of Honour and Mr. Anil Kumar, NRI – The Iron man of U.S.A. graced the occasion. Prof. K. Shivaprasad actively coordinated the Fest.

    On 24th & 25th February 2017, the Principal led a session in an Orientation Programme organized by Human Resources Development Centre, Kerala University, Thiruvananthapuram on the topic “Human Rights and RTI”.

    On 28th February 2017, the N.S.S. Unit of our college in association with Tamil Gounder Association and Rotaract club had organized a Blood Donation Camp in our college premises & many students voluntarily donated blood.

    On 11th March 2017, P. N. Revant and Aditya of IInd sem (5 year) LL.B. participated in a Debate Competition conducted by V.V. Puram Law College, Bengaluru. Revant secured V position in the competition.

    On 11th March 2017, Smt. Lakshmi Devi and Srinivas of II Sem 5 year course participated in the Kannada Debate Competition held at V.V. Puram Law College, Bengaluru.

    On 20th March 2017, a Law Forum Lecture was organized on the topic “Techniques of Mediation” by Smt. Shobha Patil, Senior Mediator and Master Trainer of Bangalore Mediation Center.

    On 20th and 21st of March 2017, a team of six students participated in the Model Parliament Competition organized by KSLU in association with KILPAR at Zilla Panchayat Auditorium, Bengaluru. Two students viz., Nagaraj and Ravi Patel of IV sem 3 year course got selected for the State Level Competition.

    On 24th March 2017, the Principal attended as an external Expert Examiner, the Viva-Voce examination for LL.M. students at Christ University, Bengaluru.

    On 27th March 2017, Mr. Heetesh, Managing Director of ‘UDXX-Yours day extra school’ conducted an Orientation programme for our students on the topic – “What next after LL. B.” and undertook a recruitment drive for our students. He has assured placement to a number of our students in various legal firms and also in his own company.

    On 1st April 2017, our Law Forum in association with H.M.M. Charitable Trust held Arasanahalli M. Muniswamaiah Memorial Lecture on the topic “The Emerging Trends in A.D.R.” very eminently delivered by Hon’ble Justice R. V. Raveendran, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India.

    On 17th & 18th April 2017, Our College, in association with KILPAR conducted Two days State Level Model Parliament Competition at Zilla Panchayat Bhavan, K. G. Road, Bengaluru. It was inaugurated by Sri. V R. Sudarshan, Former Chairman, Karnataka Vidhana Parishat. Sri. Srinivas, Principal Secretary, Law and Parliamentary Affairs was the Chief Guest, Sri. Gunjagavi, Director, KILPAR presided over the programme and Mr. Revayya Wodeyar, KILPAR was the Chief Coordinator and our Principal, Dr. K. B. Kempe Gowda was the Convener/Co-Chief Coordinator. Prof. K. Shivaprasad and Prof. K. S. Hanumaprakash were the coordinators.

    On 27th of April 2017, Prof. Somaiah of St. Joseph’s Autonomous University delivered a special lecture on Public Administration to II LL.B. 5 year Course students, studying Political Science as a major subject.

    From 2nd April to 5th April and from 30th April to 3rd May 2017, NSS Volunteers were participated in the Pulse-Polio Programme of the State Government and administered Polio Drops, through the Srirampura Ward of BBMP.

    On 6th May 2017, Sri. Udaya Singa N. G., Manager, Legal Capacity Building, Humane Society Institute India delivered a lecture on “The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, was highly educative.
