  • Chestha Sharma of IIPTA conducted Career Development Programme to hone job prospect skills of students on 20th October 2015.
  • Preparatory Exams were held for I & II Sem B.A., LL.B. students from 23rd November to 30th November 2015, and for I Sem 3 years LL.B. course from 1st December to 5th December 2015.
  • In the Karnataka State Law University, Hubli conducted third Kannada Moot Court Competition, on 7th & 8th November 2015, our college team comprised of III Sem 3 years LL.B. students Ashok. R. and Chethan Kumar. B.A. as Mooters and Rakshit. B. L. as Researcher.
  • Law Day was celebrated on 26th November 2015. Prof. T. Bayya Reddy made a presentation on the Constitutions of Various Democratic Countries.
  • Viva-Voce Examinations for III Sem (3 years Course and VII Sem (5 years Course) were held on 30th November & 1st December respectively. Viva-Voce Examinations were held for    V Sem (3 years course) and IX sem (5 years course) on 2nd and 3rd December and for repeaters on 4th December 2015.
  • 16th December 2015 was the last working day for the odd semester.
  • Semester Examinations were held from 21st December 2015 to 23rd January 2016.
  • The term days for the even semester began from 1st Feb. 2016 and will extend till 13th June 2016.

  • In the 2 day national seminar on Elderly persons held at NLSIU in joint collaboration with NHRC on 11th & 12th Feb. 2016, Prof. Kalpana. L., Principal & Prof. M. G. Hareesh, Faculty Member, accompanied by 49 students, actively participated.
  • On the direction of the UGC to celebrate Matribhasha Diwas on 21st Feb. was a Sunday, it was celebrated on 22nd Feb. 2016 as ETHNIC DAY, with students coming from different parts of the country sharing their rich cultural heritage through Elocution, debate and singing.
  • The Govt. of Karnataka in association with Karnataka State Bar Council Law Academy, Bangalore, and the Advocates Association, Bangalore, conducted State Level Training Programme for Young Advocates, in which the Final year students of our college participated in its Inaugural Session on 24.2.2016 at the Banquet Hall of Vidhanasoudha, Bengaluru.
  • In the South Zone Youth Festival conducted by K.L.E. Society’s Law College, Bengaluru, in association with KSLU, on 4th & 5th March 2016, Chethan Kumar. B.A. of IV Sem 3 years course bagged 1st Prize in Mimicry & a team from IV sem 3 years Course won II Prize in Skit.
  • In the Two Day Workshop on “Copyright Limitation & Exceptions for Libraries & Archives” conducted by the National Law School of India University, Bangalore on 4th & 5th March 2016, our Librarian, Srinivas effectively participated.
  • In the III International Law Moot Court Competition conducted by the Karnataka State Law University on 5th & 6th March 2016, our institution was represented by Sundeep Kamath and Pradeep Kumar. M. P. as mooters and A. Vidyasagar of IV sem 3 years course, as researcher.
  • In the 6th M. S. Ramaiah Memorial National Moot Court Competition conducted by M. S. Ramaiah College of Law, Bengaluru from 11th to 13th March 2016, our college was represented by Narendra Babu. K. of II Sem 3 years and Darshavardhan. B. G. of IV sem 5 years course as mooters and Thamodaran as researcher.
  • In the B. M. Sreenivasaiah Memorial 2nd National Moot Court Competition conducted by BMS College of Law, Bengaluru, from 10th to 12th March 2016, Madhukeshwar. H. M. and Roshan Yacob George from II Sem 3 years course represented our institution as mooters and Sagar. S. D. of the same class assisted them ably as the researcher.
  • As a part of Silver Jubilee Celebration, Al-Ameen College of Law, Bengaluru, conducted National Level Moot Court Competition from 11th to 13th March 2016, in which our college was represented by Laila Khan and A. Shobha from IV sem (3 years course as mooters and V. Girija as researcher. They were placed in 12th position out of 32 teams.
  • In the Legislative Analysis Competition conducted by the NLSIU, Bangalore on 12th March 2016, Bhuvana. V. of II Sem 3 years course submitted an essay on the analysis of The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill 2014.
  • In the CMR V National Moot Court Competition from 18th to 20th March 2016, Pradeep John and Bhuvana. V. represented the institution as mooters and Shijo. T. J. of IV sem (3 years course) was the researcher.
  • The NSS team of the college had organized Blood Donation Camp with Rotary Bangalore – ttk Blood Bank, on 23.3.2016, in the college premises.
  • On 30.3.2016, the NSS Unit conducted Legal Literacy Programme in Mariyappa College, Rajajinagar, with lectures on designated topics useful for those students, by our faculty members Prof. K. Shivaprasad, Prof. Rakshit. B. N. & Prof. Prathibha. A skit highlighting the role of courts in dispensing justice was also enacted by our students to impress upon the young minds that justice is the goal of law.
  • In the V National Moot Court Competition conducte3d by Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College, Bangalore from 1st to 3rd April 2016, our college was represented by Shrikanta Sharma of IV Sem (3 years) and Vinod. M. of VI Sem (3 years) as mooters and V. Ganesha of IV Sem (3 years) as researcher.
  • Annual Athletic Sports Meet was held in Gymkhana grounds of IISc. On 2nd April, in which students participated enthusiastically and won prizes.
  • Nithin of VI Sem of 5 years course participated in the Inter-Collegiate Seminar conducted by Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College, Bangalore on 12th April 2016 on the topic “Patriotism & Charge for Sedition”.
  • On 13th April 2016, Prof. Parimal Maya Sudhakar of MIT School of Govt., Pune, addressed our students on the establishment of First even leadership institute in India and Asia for a career in Politics. He impressed upon the students that politics is becoming established as a professional career by providing training for dynamic, proactive, capable and knowledgeable political leaders through the creation of specialized modules on developing skills on Poll Projection and Poll Survey; Winning Elections; Social Media Management; Constituency Development; Campaign Management; Political Strategies, Political Speech Writing & Political Analysis. Students were happy that politics was at last emerging as a professional career with requisite training.
  • On 14th April 2016, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Jayanthi celebrations were held.
  • In the Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies conducted 3rd National Moot Court Competition from 15th to 17th April 2016, our institution  was represented by Pradeep Kumar. M. P. & Shrikanta Sharma as mooters and Udaya, as researcher. All of them are more from IV Sem 3 years course.
  • Prof. K. S. Hanumaprakash participated in the Child Rights and Juvenile Justice Workshop conducted by IBA-CLE Centre & MKN Academy for continuing Legal Education, from 20 – 22nd April 2016 at National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
  • For having secured First Prize in Mimicry in the KSLU organized Zonal Level Youth Festival conducted by KLE Law College, Bangalore, Chethan Kumar of IV sem 3 years course was invited by the Directorate of Students’ Welfare, KSLU, Hubballi, to present his Mimicry again at the University, which was held on 22nd April 2016 wherein he won II Prize.
  • It was a matter of pride that Prof. K. Shivaprasad was invited as a Chief Guest to the One day State Level Seminar of POCSO Act, 2012 on 23.4.2016, organized by KVG Law College, Sullia, in association with KILPAR (Karnataka Institute  for Law & Parliamentary Affairs).
  • WTO & IPR Relay Cell of Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre (Govt. of Karnataka Centre for Export Promotion) Department of Industries & Commerce, Bangalore, conducted a workshop on the significance of Intellectual Property Rights with thrust non-litigation aspects on 26th April, from 10.30A.M. to 12.30P.M., in our college through the Law Forum to commemorate the WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DAY.
  • Smt. Prabhavathi Rao, was the Program Co-ordinator, R. Muralidharan, Leading Advocate, Anupana S. Pillai, Advocate & Brinda Varma, our Alumnus & Ph.D. Scholar in Intellectual Property Law from NLSIU were the resource persons. Sri. H. G. Balagopal, Chairman, Law Forum of our college presided over the programme.
  • Karnataka Institute for Law & Parliamentary Affairs (KILPAR), Bangalore, conducted Mahila Model Parliament Competition at Bangalore, Zilla Panchayat Hall on 1st May 2016, in which five of our students, viz., Sreekala. P. A., II Sem 3 years course, Monika Gandhi. L., VI sem 5 years course, Pavithra of II sem 5 years course, Charishma of II Sem 5 years course and Asha. K. R. of II sem 3 hyears course, participated. Training for this competition was given at KLE Law College, Bengaluru on 30th April 2016.
  • The Karnataka State Bar Council conducted its training programme in our college for young advocates through retired judges and senior counsel from 2nd to 6th May 2016 from 10A.M. to 5.30P.M.
  • Hon’ble Mr. Justice Huluvadi G. Ramesh, Senior Judge, Madras High Court, Chennai, delivered the Arasanahalli M. Muniswamaiah Memorial Lecture on 5.5.2016 on the topic JUDICIAL REVIEW UNDER THE INDIAN CONSTITUTION on the same occasion, Sri. Kiran Kumar. N. was felicitated with Out Standing Student Award for securing VI Rank in KSLU Examinations, 2015 & Neha N Hugar was conferred the Best Girl Student Award for the academic year 2014-15.
  • In the KSLU Zonal Intercollegiate Athletic Meet, Bengaluru held at Jnanabharathi Campus on 25.4.2016, Lakshmi of IV sem 3 years course emerged as the Winner in 400 Mtrs. Running Race and Naresh Babu of X Sem bagged I prize in High Jump. Both were invited to participate in the 4th Inter Collegiate Athletic Meet 2016 at KSLU, Hubballi, on 11th and 12th of May 2016.

  • In the Karnataka State Law University Inter Collegiate Chess Tournament organized by SDM Law College, Mangalore on 21st and 22nd September 2015, our college team actively participated.
  • In the Karnataka State Law University Inter Collegiate Table Tennis Tournament organized by Siddartha Law College, Kalaburgi on 26th & 27th September, our college team played well and entered the 3rd round of the tournament.
  • In the Karnataka State Law University Inter Collegiate Kabaddi Tournament organized by DBHPS Law College, Koppala on 28th & 29th September, our team effectively participated.
  • In the Karnataka State Law University Inter Collegiate Shuttle – Badminton Men & Women’s Tournament organized by BMS Law College, Bangalore on 5th & 6th October, our college men & women’s team participated and played well.
  • In the Karnataka State Law University Inter Collegiate Volley Ball Tournament organized by Al-Ameen Law College, Bangalore on 7th & 8th October. Our college team effectively participated.
  • In the Karnataka State Law University Inter Collegiate Foot Ball Tournament organized by M. S. Ramaiah Law College, Bangalore on 6th & 7th November our college team played well and got the 4th place.
  • In the Karnataka State Law University Inter Collegiate Leather Ball Cricket Tournament organized by Vaikunta Baliga Law College, Udupi, our college team played very well and entered the 3rd round of the tournament.
  • It is a matter of pride that Sri. Kumara. M., Physical Education Director of Vivekananda College of Law was the member of Selection Committee for Inter University KSLU Volley Ball Team.
